Sampdoria claim they have moved to a step closer to signing Samuel Eto’o from Everton.
The Italian side are hoping to tie the Cameroonian to a two-and-a-half year deal and have today said: “we have an agreement”.
Everton do not want to lose the three-time Champions League winner and Roberto Martinez will try and persuade the 33-year-old to remain at Goodison.
But it is understood that Eto’o wants more regular playing time and is eager to be closer to his family home in Milan, with Inter also said to be interested.
